Rishikul Yogshala, the most reviewed Yoga school in the country, recently welcomed its latest 200 Yoga Teacher Training Course batch in Rishikesh with a grand gesture.
Rishikesh, India, 7th October 2016: Last Friday, Rishikul Yogshala organized a grand opening ceremony to welcome its new batch of yoga practitioners into their 200 hour yoga teacher training program at Rishikesh. Boasting a group of some of the best and most renowned yoga teachers of traditional Indian yoga, the school did everything they could to make the students feel the warmth and hospitality that Rishikul Yogshala is so admired for.
The opening ceremony began in the afternoon at around 3:00 PM after the students were well-rested and energized. With all the students, teachers, management staff, and the main panditji gathered in the yoga studio, the havan ceremony began with chanting of a few important and powerful mantras. During the ceremony, the students were informed of every important aspect of the prayer ceremony so they can be an active part of it. The batch along with the teachers prayed to the Fire God who, as per Indian religion and yogic studies, denotes purification of mind, body, and soul.
The prayer ceremony was followed by a detailed orientation which took place after an hour’s tea break. The orientation began with a welcome dance performed by one of the ex-students. The induction program included an introduction session between the students and the teachers, the important dos and don’ts information for the students, a brief outline of the plan of action for the upcoming days, and a light-hearted question and answer session. The day was concluded with a 2 minute meditation routine followed by the chanting of ‘Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya’ by Yogini Deepa Ji, the school’s in-house meditation and laughter yoga guru.
Rishikul Yogshala has established its position in the discipline of yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda through continuous years of hard work and dedication. The school conducts 200, 300, and 500 hour yoga TTC along with yoga retreats, workshops, and scholarship programmes.
