Three years ago, addressing the biggest day of the year (length-wise) in the entire Northern Hemisphere, the date of 21st June gained an even more special significance in the history, when it was designated as the Yoga Day worldwide. The great science of Yoga, the India-borne` legacy became the epitomic mark of health and wellness and the whole world stood by it in unanimity to recognize the same. Under the patronage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the day was globally announced as the International Yoga Day by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2015.
The miraculous powers of Yoga to reinstate balance, health, and harmony in the mind, body, and spirit of an entity are no longer a mystery. Entities from across the globe have been recognizing this art form as the perfect natural system of healing and fostering complete health since the early 20th Century. People have been traveling to India for unfolding its layers and to adopt the sacred science in their life ever since. With the aim to lead a naturally healthy and ailment-free life and help others accomplish the same, entities embark on the journey of Yoga. And this day is a salute to the divinity of the science and an oath to keep moving on the path of wellness and health as long as there is life. And the rest shall come!
Whether physical, mental, or spiritual, Yoga has been helping people in all spheres of life. So much so that it has left even the greatest scientists awe-struck by its magnanimity and its prowess. The miraculous benefits of the science are not meant for specific people or a particular age, health, or body composition; the art can be practiced, absorbed, and imbibed by all. This is the true beauty of Yoga.
On this International Yoga Day, it is an opportunity for us to commemorate the virtues of Yoga and to embark upon the long-awaited journey of health, wellness, peace, love, and contentment that the science symbolizes. It is time to pave a way through it so as to reach the eventual truth, and that is ‘Self-Realization’.
We, at Rishikul Yogshala, stand behind the sheer spirit and soul that the sacred science of Yoga represents. And so, we commence this day with the entire globe by standing in unison for the Morning Yoga Protocol as set by the Ministry of AYUSH. And the celebrations shall continue as our Rishikul Yogis volunteer for free yoga sessions at our centers in Rishikesh, Kerala, and Nepal. The aim is to reach out the healing love of Yoga to people from all corners irrespective of their age, ethnicity, religion, or background.
This day, as we immerse in the essence of Yoga, we commemorate the foundation of the Yogic Science whose spirit lies in the heart and soul of India. We pay our respects to the greatest Yoga Masters, Gurus, and the entire Yoga community.
Celebrate with us and stand in unison on this great day and vow to live a healthy, ailment-free life, and help others accomplish the same.
This is the collective spirit of Yoga and Rishikul Yogshala.
Love thyself and Keep Helping Others. This is how you shall find your Solace and this is where Nirvana lies!
Namaste! And a Happy Yoga Day to All!
