Rishikul Yogshala held the International Yoga Day programs at two different locations. Below are the details of the programs and how it enlightened people about yoga.
International Yoga Day Held in Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital of Yoga
Rishikul Yogshala is one of the leading schools which offers world-class yoga courses in India as well as yoga retreats at some of the soulful destinations across the globe. For many years, it has devoted itself to spreading the authentic wisdom about yoga and inspire and evolve yoga practitioners and teachers around the world.
On this 5th International Yoga day, June 21, 2019, Rishikul Yogshala, which is in Rishikesh, the capital city of yoga, held the program to bring the focus of the yogis to know about the timeless wisdom of yoga and meditation. The yogis of the Rishikul Yogshala went to Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama to seek the spiritual knowledge about yoga, which is “A village of spiritual seekers devoted to the teachings of Swami Rama of the Himalayas.” It is an ashram which was established by Swami Veda Bharati in 2002. The session started with the Guru Pooja and Mangalacharan as to bring in a state of tranquility followed by a Hatha Yoga session, which is the yoga tradition familiar to Western culture to use breathing control and physical alignment to achieve a balance between the body and its universe, which was further followed by the guided meditation by Swami Ritavan Bharti and breathing and relaxation meditation. The day came to an end with a beautiful Dhrupad vocal performance, Dhrupad is the oldest instrumental and vocal style, and the form from which the Indian classical music originated. The spiritual nature of Dhrupad music made people induce deep feelings of harmony and peace.
The Yogis of Rishikul Yogshala also took some time out to spend some quality time with the needy people of Rishikesh and also provided them with food. The main aim of celebrating the yoga day was to aware people about the amazing and natural benefits of yoga and to connect people to nature by practicing yoga.
International Yoga Day Held in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon
Rishikul Yogshala also conducted the yoga program in the beautiful yet skyscraper city. Gurugram, which is the IT hub of North India where life is fast and expensive, people don’t have time for themselves. The long working hours and the pressure of the job is making people’s life more stressful. People are so involved in their schedule that they don’t even think of taking time out to maintain their health. The program that was conducted at the Ambience Mall, Gurugram was to let people know the path to a healthy lifestyle and good health to completely enjoy the highest standards of mental and physical health.
The program started with the eccentric performance of The Gurugram Warriors, who are specially trained at AumYogashala, which was also our local partner in conducting the successful event. The Warrior’s performance reflected the discipline and balance in them, which they attained through the daily practice of yoga. It was followed by a short quiz about yoga, and its motive was to aware people about yoga and its benefits. At last, the program ended with a beautiful yet peaceful session of yoga and meditation with some basic exercises, which can also be done at home by taking a few minutes out of your wonderfully busy schedule. The main intention of the program was to let people know about how yoga is beneficial in day to day life and how it can help cure stress, anxiety, and many other problems.
The main motive of Rishikul Yogshala was to promote the physical and mental health of people through yoga practice and to help people in their bad situations themselves by getting relief from stress through yoga and meditation. It is necessary for people to know about yoga so that they can make full use of it by making their lifestyle healthier by keeping their body healthy. The International Yoga Day program was a success as hundreds of people gathered around to know more about yoga, and they also practiced yoga and meditation, which was taught by the expert teachers of Rishikul Yogshala and AumYogashala.
